In the dance of the cosmos, from the vast expanse of the universe to the intricate workings of our solar system, everything is connected. The seasons, the ebb and flow of tides, day and night, all move in a harmonious system that impacts our lives. Until something knocks it off balance, and impacts every part of the system. very existence. Our workplaces and personal lives are in multiple systems, multiple teams, projects, activities, and when it works, it feels like flow, but often feels like hard work.

In the workplace, we love to fix what we perceive as being wrong. It's all too easy to zoom in on a single issue, grasping for a quick fix, without considering the broader relationships of interconnected elements.

Understanding this complex web of interactions is crucial. It involves looking beyond the immediate problem to see the whole picture. I'm here to share that stepping back and adopting a systems thinking approach can illuminate the path to true growth and efficiency, even if it feels like you're too close to the situation to see clearly.

We expect everyone in the company to be outputters - to work hard, generate, build, deliver, create. If your contribution isn't visible, your contribution is disregarded. Yet, systems don't work on generating output alone. You need other styles to deliver team strength.

The Solution:

Harness the power of everyones unique energy and skill.

Within any team or organisation, there are individuals who bring unique perspectives and strengths to the table. Recognising and harnessing these diverse talents is key to navigating the intricate dance of workplace dynamics.

  • Generators are the doers. Their relentless work ethic and ability to produce tangible results have been the backbone of progress through the 20th century and beyond. Their focused drive is a powerful force in any team, propelling projects forward with momentum and determination.
  • Manifestors are the visionaries. They spark ideas and set the wheels of innovation in motion. Their ability to initiate new projects and directions is invaluable in keeping the team dynamic fresh and forward-thinking and  building momentum.
  • Projectors are the connectors. They possess an innate ability to absorb complex information and distill it into clear, actionable insights. By seeing the situation from a holistic perspective, they can identify efficiencies and guide the team toward smarter ways of working together.
  • Reflectors are the mirrors of the team. Through their exceptional perceptiveness, they reveal the unspoken truths and underlying currents within the group. Their discerning nature allows them to shed light on areas needing attention or healing.
